Hate: Smoking

Tokyo's a city a lot like many others outside of the US, where smoking really never underwent the demonetization that it did here in the states. In New York, you cannot smoke in bars, clubs, restaurants, or most public places immediately outside any of the above. In Tokyo, while certain outdoor places discourage smoking (while walking in most cases), there's an abundance of smoking just about everywhere else. Since i grew up in a very smokey environment (both of my parents are heavy smokers to this day), i'm actually quite sensitive to the very smell of it. I imagine that given enough time in Japan, it will be something i grow to hate about the place.
